Occupational Therapist Female Low secure services
 
Description
Working within our Female low secure unit you will join the Occupational Therapy and Activities service, to ensure the team maintain an active role within the Multi-disciplinary team.
The role includes - Assessment of patients taking into account their health, social and cultural needs, implementing appropriate therapy on a one to one and group basis. developing and maintain innovative and creative ways of working with patients who are difficult to engage.- Undertaking appropriate risk assessment for the therapeutic con-tact that is offered to patients
Ensuring that the programme of care for patients is regularly reviewed with the multidisciplinary team, attending multi-disciplinary meetings, including statutory reviews, as required —Ensuring that accurate notes are kept on each patient and concise reports are provided when required.—Keeping abreast of new policies including government and department policies and procedures.

You will promote customer care at all times by treating patients, carer’s referrers and other agencies with respect and courtesy and maintain their dignity

Requirements
Main Duties and Responsibilities
To assess patients taking into account their health, social and cultural needs.

To work as part of the multi-disciplinary team while retaining professional independence
To contribute to policy formulation and the development of therapeutic services within Alpha Hospitals
To demonstrate  a commitment to their own professional development
Delivery of annual appraisals, probationary reviews and management supervision
