Our client is currently recruiting for Nurses of all levels:
First Level Nurse: - Learning Disability, Mental Health or General with relevant experience.
To provide a quality of care to each individual that is of a high standard, being sensitive to individual abilities, respecting privacy and catering for social, emotional, religious and cultural needs whilst encouraging a comprehensive programme of ordinary living with an emphasis on self help skills.
1. Participate in the assessment of changing care needs, the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care in line with agreed policies and procedures.
2. Participate in the key worker system. 
3. Discuss and agree care programmes with other community services.
4. Foster good relations and lines of communication with other disciplines/services/agencies involved with individuals’ care.
5. Keep abreast of developments and current trends when caring for people who have a Learning Disability/Mental Health Problem/behaviours that challenge. 
6. Develop, maintain and enhance relationships between parents, relatives and friends of the service users and staff at the home.
87 Promote access to an independent advocacy for the individual.
1. Be involved in staff recruitment.
2. When the senior member of staff on duty be responsible for ensuring adequate staffing levels and on-call systems, as per registration guidelines.
3. Participate in staff supervisions.
1. Be involved in completion of Induction Programmes for newly appointed staff.
2. Be involved in implementation of in-service training and staff development programmes, encouraging staff to keep up to date with any new developments relevant to their area of work.
3. Ensure that all staff are familiar with, and comply with, Vista Healthcare policies and procedures.
1. Keep accurate and up-to-date records of individuals’ care in accordance with the 1983 Mental Health Act and NCSC.
2. Attend meetings as and when appropriate.
3. Ensure the safekeeping of individuals’ money and belongings and maintain detailed records of all transactions.
4. Maintain compliance with requirements of:-
a) Health and Safety Executive
b) Environmental Health
c) Fire Service
d) Care Standards Act
e) Validation requirements of Social Services
5. Undertake other duties according to the changing needs of the service and its users.
General Duties
Personal Development and Training
To participate in regular supervision and appraisal. 
Undertake an annual Personal Development Review (PDR) with Line Manager to monitor own performance, aiming to achieve and maintain a high standards of professionalism and competence. 
To participate in mandatory training including Positive & Protective Handling (Team Teach) and Safeguarding.
To complete all Statutory training within the required timescales (typically annually or within three years) including E learning modules and associated practical training.
To undertake all other training as directed by the line manager.
